  • Looking for a good burger in Sun Prairie, my friend suggested The Rock. As a newer restaurant, I was excited to see a full pool hall and a clean, upscale decor. Our waiter, while nice, did not know anything about drinks or the drinks on the menu. As a matter of fact, my friend tried to order a drink on the menu, only to be told that no one on staff knew how to make it. He ended up ordering a fantastic cocktail, and it should have been great for $8. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger, medium rare, and cheese curds for the table. The curds were fine, nothing special. My burger was well done, and bland. It tasted like my mom made it. There was no sauce, and the mushrooms were not seasoned. It was disappointing. I can see myself going back and enjoying the facilities, but I will skip the food.
