| - I booked a single room at The Rio this weekend and it exceeded my expectations. The beds were queen sized and huge! I was surprised how much room we actually had between where the huge L shaped coach was and our beds. I could have done a couple cartwheels and flips without knocking over anything.
I got the rooms pretty cheap too for $270 for the weekend. Day of check out is usually at 11am, but if you want to check out late, they will only extend it an extra hour.
I strongly suggest you valet on the day of check in. We actually self parked and we ended up at the far end of the casino. Now imagine carrying your luggage all the way to the front for check in. Just valet and pay $1.
I got to admit though, I did not spend much time at The Rio, since I was out and about the whole time. I did get to have lunch at the All-American Bar & Grille but that is a review of its own so I cant tell you what happened there.
The following entertainment is available at The Rio:
Penn & Teller
Show In the Sky
Chippendales
VooDoo Lounge.
Hungry and at The Rio? Look no further.
All-American Bar & Grille
Búzios Seafood Restaurant
Martorano's
Carnival World Buffet
Gaylord India Restaurant
Hamada's Asiana
Janelas
Mah Jong
McFadden's
RUB BBQ
So Paulo Cafe
Sports Deli
Starbucks Coffee
Village Seafood Buffet
VooDoo Steak & Lounge
Wine Cellar & Tasting Room
No need to write about there being slot machines, blackjack tables, sportsbook, etc since this is just like any other casino. However, some of the other casinos are much more better looking but who is really here to look at casinos.
The Rio is located very close to the strip, not walking distance, close enough to get there in a matter of minutes by car. I would definitely stay here again, if the rates on the hotel and room were not expensive.
