| - We lived in Savannah for 3 years, we had a great apartment with view of the pool, and the drug deals, & the rift raft jumping the fence & partying until all hours. Our rent was one of the highest there & we were told we were in a "prime location" so the rent would never go down. We complained on numerous occasions about all the problems going on at the pool, the 4 am drunken parties in the jacuzzi, even one morning at 6:45 am saw someone stripping down to go in the jacuzzi naked, told the office about it & they didn't care,{ we all have children who were getting up for school at that hour} We watched as many teens did their drug deals in the shower stall & hung out drinking at the pool while intimidating the tenants. When we called we were asked to describe them, we took pictures for them & sent them to the office & all we got back from the office was "well only one lives here so there is nothing we can do" The security is horrible there, they told us they would not confront anyone because it isn't worth them getting hurt. Very seldom did we see security patrolling the back.There were constantly people that didn't live there jumping the fence to get into the pool area. They told us that we needed to call 311 to have any disturbances handled, they didn't want to deal with it. By the time 311 come out the people are gone. There was a wave of breaking ins with peoples doors being kicked in & they didn't feel the need to notify the tenants. They are very lazy!
When we first moved in the maintenance team (Phil, Chris, Eric &Ceasar) were exceptional! You could call in for service and within 24 hours they had your repairs done. They knew everyone by name & were very friendly to everyone. They replaced that team with another team who we were not happy with. It took days to get anything done. We didn't trust them to enter without our permission so it took even longer. We got a notice to renew our lease or give 60 day notice to vacate, they were raising our rent to over $1500 and the next building over was only $1300, we were again told "Prime location", they told us they would let us move to another apartment for cheaper rent but they would not work with us on lower ours even though we've never been late, we were told "the computer picks the rent & you can't change it". We decided to move out & we cleaned the apartment spotless, they sent the maintenance man out to check it who told us that the carpet needed to be replaced at our cost but he may be able to just clean it at our cost because it "wasn't normal wear & tear". (There was a small spot where the kitchen barrel was kept.) They kept our deposit & charged us to replace a blind on the door that had a kink in it. You never know what type of mood the office staff were in, some days they would be nice to you but most days they were very arrogant. They change hands quite frequently. You don't have a gate code to get in so when you have visitors they have to scroll through the whole directory trying to find you. All in all I would say stay clear of this place unless you want to pay for an overpriced apartment and have nothing but headaches.
