| - One of the toughest things to find is a local mechanic who won't take advantage of your basic automotive ignorance. This is the best place my husband and I have found for the care and feeding of our daily driver vehicles. They're off the beaten path, back on Rose Garden, on the other side of Cave Creek from the Post Office, but they're worth searching out. The main mechanic, Dan, has a common sense manner that relieves a lot of the stress of dealing with an ailing car. This morning, as we dropped off our minivan to have new struts put on it, the other car's Check Engine light came on - talk about timing! And where so many sleazier mechanics would have taken that as a prime opportunity to make more money off us, Dan didn't. He hooked up his meter-reader-thingymabob to the car, saw that some setting was slightly off but nothing to worry about, and reset it for me. He said it may come back on again, and then we'll probably need to get it really looked at, but that it was nothing to worry about for the time being and sent me on my way. In so doing, he made me sure that when I did need my car looked at again, I'd definitely be coming to 2 Wrenches Automotive.
