| - Thanks Yelp for leading me here! It was a great tip, as I've had a craving for shish kebab lately.
I came in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant was empty at the time. At first glance, the restaurant is small, but the design was very elegant. There was interior and exterior seating and a bar area. We were greeted by Leyla who had a big smile on her face and was very welcoming and helpful.
I had viewed the Pars menu the previous weekend, but needed to look through it again to remind myself what it was that caught my eye before. It didn't take me long to realize I was there for the shish kebab and selected the lamb shish kebab. I typically don't select an appetizer or side dish, but this was my first time at Pars so I wanted to go a little all out. Leyla knew my companion and I were new to Pars so she provided some really good recommendations. We had the Maust' Mooster, which was plain yogurt with shallots to go with pita bread, which was warm, but not toasted. Unexpectedly, it turned out great. I loved how the pita bread was warm, but not toasted because I typically have it toasted. The yogurt had a little bit of a salty flavor to it, which was unexpected as well, but appreciated.
The lamb shish kebabs came out aromatic. The rice was white with saffron on it. I loved how the rice was so fluffy. I can't remember the last time I had rice that fluffy. I have to figure out how to get my rice that fluffy. The shish kebab wasn't skewered, which was fine. The lamb was tender and could easily sliced using spoon and fork. I loved the texture of the tomatoes and the onions were a great complement with the lamb and rice.
I didn't intend on getting dessert as I was very satisfied with what I had, but my companion ordered the Persian ice cream, which comprised of pistachios and honey. I think Leyla mentioned that it also had cashews. The ice cream was made at the restaurant. It was thick and creamy. It was delicious, but not too sweet.
I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be a return customer!
