  • This hotel was just OK. Spent the weekend here for my birthday (Sat/Sun). The first thing we noticed was that the hotel layout especially the lobby area was really weird and confusing. The first day as soon as my boyfriend and I got there we went to have some lunch at an outdoor grill by the pool. SANSABAR GRILL- I really enjoyed the view of the pool and palm trees from here. We both had burgers and fries and they were just okay not bad but nothing amazing. Our server was also just ok, she was nice but super quiet and had a blank look on her face the whole time she didn't even smile and I couldn't hear what she was saying most of the time. After lunch I went to the spa for a massage SPA- I had a 50 minute massage by Patty and she was amazing! When I first got there the lockers were messy, soiled robes everywhere and the girl that took me back said "they must have not cleaned yet" and she started picking everything up. Not a huge deal but little things make a big difference. The massage itself was so relaxing. Patty started with a foot bath which was nice. Highly recommend her! She also let me know I could get 20% off of my massage because I'm a local. After lunch we went to lay out at the pool ACTIVITY POOL- Kids running around EVERYWHERE! Whats nice is that they have another pool which was mostly adults and a little more quiet and relaxing so you have options. They also have a water slide which was fun. After relaxing at the pool we went back to the room to get ready for dinner, the rooms were pretty outdated but they are remodeling so hopefully they upgrade some things. We chose to leave the hotel and go have dinner somewhere else bc they didn't have many options for food there. The next day we had our free breakfast at the buffet RICKS CAFE- Typical breakfast buffet food. It was not bad but not great either but then again it was free so we didn't have high expectations. However if you don't have a voucher for free breakfast I would think twice about coming here. Our total for the buffet for 2 adults and one orange juice was $47 I would have felt ripped off if it weren't for the free voucher. After breakfast we went out to do some kayaking KAYAKING- it was over 100 degrees outside so it wasn't a great time for me since I was sweating and couldn't breathe after 5 min. It would have been nice if it were a little more cool though I would def try it again on a cooler afternoon. It was also nice that it was complimentary with the resort fees. Overall the hotel was OK. I liked that it was a nice little getaway from the crazy Vegas nightlife but they could definitely make improvements in a lot of different areas. I may or may not return.
