Juhl provides satisfactory accommodations for the (very few) Las Vegans who desire a downtown residence. The building is fairly new and is in decent proximity to downtown attractions like Fremont East.
Units are quiet. Elevators are quick. I haven't noticed any escorts living in the building, but that's not to say they don't exist.
Management is okay. They seem to be a bit unorganized - randomly requesting proofs (renters insurance, pay stubs, etc), although you've already submitted everything necessary to reside in the building (otherwise you wouldn't be able to move in, duh).
First floor "retail" leaves quite a bit to be desired. Downtown Las Vegas is not particularly pedestrian friendly, so I'm sure they have trouble securing tenants. Perhaps more will come if and when the third street cinema opens.
The Classic Jewel bar offers specialty cocktails, but patrons seem to be rough around the edges - thus encouraging residents (like me) to drink upstairs, in our units, for free!
Greens & Proteins was scheduled to open by Fall 2015, according to an article published in July 2015 on Eater Las Vegas...it has yet to open as of mid-October 2016.
