Since Serendipity is one of my favorite movies, I have been wanting to check out this place for a while. Every time I walk in without a reservation, there is a wait. Luckily, my bf and I scored a reservation when we checked in at the Information Desk for the High Roller. The staff easily booked a dinner reservation for a party of 2 for 8:00 p.m.
When we arrived at Serendipity 3, we were 15 minutes early. The host seated us right away. We ordered the frozen hot chocolate. It was delicious and enough for two people to share. We also ordered "the one & only las vegas strip steak sandwich" paired with wings.
The steak sandwich included not only a 10 oz new york strip steak, but also eggs, cheddar on garlic french bread. It was overwhelming as some would expect and extremely greasy. The sweet potatoes that came with the sandwich were underwhelming because they were lukewarm and not as crispy as I would like. The buffalo chicken wings were okay. The dressing nor the meats stood out. On top of the mediocre food, the service was slow. Our waiter only checked in on us once when I waved for the check.
For the high price and fame of the NY's Serendipity cafe, I expected better from this place. After dinner, I felt that my $$ would have been better spent on a AYCE buffet than this place.
If there is anything to buy from this place, it would be the frozen chocolate.
