  • I was very excited to check out The Fresh Market's new store. So excited that I braved the parking "situation"--others have described it adequately, but two weeks after opening they still have policemen to wave you and and make sure it's safe for people to back out of their spots (if they were lucky enough to get one). Inside is kind of a similar situation, but with shopping carts. I definitely wouldn't come here on a weekly basis for groceries, mostly due to the fact that I'm from the north side. I bought a half gallon of ice cream that was totally melted by the time I made it out of this place and home. It is definitely something different--they have a good mix of "fancy" and more reasonable food items. It would be a GREAT place to come put together a picnic basket--baguette, cheeses, spreads, etc. They also have delicious coffee. I'm glad I checked it out and I may be back in the fall after the novelty wears off--it's just nice to see our grocery options expanding!!
