  • I tried a new hair stylist somewhere 2 weeks ago and it was a disaster. I had been having my hair up since that terrible haircut because I couldn't even look myself into the mirror afterwards. I really couldn't wait for my hair to grow out so I decided that I needed to find someone to fix it for me! I went through a lot of reviews on yelp and came across this salon, and read some good reviews about Cole Blake. He seemed very legit on a lot of reviews. So I decided to make an appointment for consultation and haircut. I was told that if he doesn't think he could do it, I could walk out after the consultation (no haircut) without paying for anything. So I gathered all my courage and took the chance. And I am glad that I went! During the consultation, Cole understood what I didn't like about my previous haircut, and understood what I wanted. I showed him pictures of how my hair looked when I was in my previous city (I had a good hair stylist at where I lived before, so i had been hunting for a new one after moving out here). During the conversation, I can see that he is knowledgeable with techniques and hair types. He assured me that I was in good hands, and I had a very good vibe from him too. So I went ahead for the haircut right after the consultation. He was very careful with my allergy too. I told him I am allergic to pretty much all chemicals, so I brought my own shampoo and conditioner, and he was happy to use them on me and made me as comfortable as I could. I felt really safe. We chatted throughout the whole haircut, and he was very easy to chat with, and I like that he has a good work ethics, good personality, eager to continually learn and advance, and eager to listen, respectful and humble, he is passionate with what he does and want to deliver the best he can. He would tell me stuff regarding his profession without making me feel dumb. I can understand what he said without going to any beauty school. He is able to be objective and really use the right techniques on the right hair types. I feel that it was very educational when he shared about hair knowledge. It was a great experience overall. I even felt that he was very much like the good hair stylist I had at my previous town. So that's a big plus. Most importantly, at the end, he fixed my hair! Thank God! I am now able to look myself into the mirror again and I feel confident too. It came out the way I wanted. All the layers were cut well. The 2-weeks-ago hair stylist used the texturizing shear heavily (and it's actually bad for my hair as it kills all my natural waves terribly) and made my hair terribly frizzy and the layers didn't look well. Cole was able to fix all those up, and he was able to cut my hair without the use of texturizing shear. My hair is naturally wavy and he was able make my natural wave came out like my good old hair stylist did. There is no more frizz or choppiness on my hair now. I will recommend Cole to anyone. I believe that he is capable to cut any hair types, so I have no reservation in recommending him to anyone! One last note, my hair is naturally wavy that I don't need any styling products and they will still be wavy as long as the haircut is well done. So if anyone can cut my hair and make all my natural waves come out without relying on products, this person must have good techniques. If you need a good haircut in Las Vegas, I suggest you to find Cole Blake.
