  • I've lived in Charlotte for 14 years, and am embarrassed (and disappointed!) to say that I had never visited the McDowell Nature Preserve. What a beautiful oasis in our bustling city! We signed up for a kayak tour on Lake Wylie. Our guides were knowledgeable and friendly, and the equipment was perfect for beginners and seasoned kayakers. Great experience!
