This is a fantastic neighborhood spot, and I'm glad to live near it. Until this morning, every time I'd walked past Sophia's it had been closed. A friend and I went to get some late breakfast ("brunch"), and it was definitely worth waiting in line.
I got cheese blintzes, which were nice because it isn't something I see on a lot of menus. They were pretty great, and came with a little jelly on them (I'd guess apricot). My friend got the "special waffle," and I guess it was actually pretty special, since he finished it pretty quickly.
The most unusual thing about eating here was how you have to go back up to the counter to pay after you're done, which might be a good business strategy, since we both ended up buying baked goods to bring home.
