I came to Baton Rouge for a client lunch. I haven't been to a Baton Rouge restaurant chain for many years. I always remembered the quality was great so I was super excited to go. We got there early around 11:30 am so the restaurant was empty. We got seated right away. I did noticed the restaurant never filled up even after we left. They have a lunch menu but we're told we're not allow to do any substitution period! Even from vegetables and fries to a salad. I found that quite odd. Their daily mushroom and artichoke soup came with the lunch menu. It was not very good. Very peppery. I ordered the steak and frites. The steak was dry and the meat quality was not that great. My clients had the calamari salad which came with a very small portion of calamari. My colleague had the Cajun basa and she said it was dry as well. Service was adequate, he did his job with no smile and was not friendly at all. I was quite disappointed with my experience and would to say I now prefer the Keg.
