  • One of the best Italian delis around, not just in Phoenix, but ever! Fresh rolls with endless combinations of deli meats and cheeses. They have a sandwich menu, but you can pretty much get anything you want from their case of Boar's Head meats and cheese and hot food selections. Some of my favorites are the Italian Stallion, meatball, and Robert's Special. But lately, Robert's Special has had my heart, perfect combo of roast beef and pastrami, swiss, mayo, tomato, and onions toasted to perfection. It's gotten to the point that when Robert sees me walk up to the counter he already knows I want his namesake sandwich. All the sandwiches are HUUGE and only $10 with chips and a drink. Romanelli's is a family run place and in addition to an amazing deli, they're also a small Italian market with everything from homemade cannolis to frozen raviolis to ten different type of canned olives. You can also order hot food from the deli to go and/or cater food. All the staff are amazing and super friendly and you feel like you're apart of the fam (or maybe I just go too much?). And like any good catholic, they're closed on Sundays.
