I came across this place through someone's recommendation and I wish I had never gone in the first place. I will definitely not be returning to Botany Floral Studio for a number of reasons. This was my experience
I scheduled a consultation appointment on Wednesday January 18 at 1pm. I arrived at 12:45 pm, hoping that I could potentially be seen before 1pm if there were no other clients. To my dismay, I found Nina, the floral clerk on her cell phone. Although I was acknowledged with a greeting from her she advised me that she would be with me shortly. This did not end up happening because ten minutes had passed and she was still fiddling with her phone. Following the lack of her attention to me, two people (one man and one woman) were at the entrance of this business with a box, trying to enter Botany Floral Studio. As soon as I saw them, I approached the floral clerk to notify her about someone who was here for her i assumed and the man who was holding the box with the woman shouted "she's walking away" and mumbled some other rude remarks. I could not make what he was saying but it sounded like swearing. How I found it was that it is suppose to be my responsibility apparently to open the door for this business yet I did not sign up for this. I was simply attending a consultation and in return I was basically mocked and yelled at by one of their very rude clients just because I was supposedly suppose to open the door for Botany Floral Studio which again is nowhere on my responsibility list. The floral clerk finally aproached me shortly after and told me that I should I come back in twenty minutes. I had informed her that I was pressed for time and could not wait that long for I had other errands to attend to. She did not provide me with a clear response after I had said that I was pressed for time. And instead, she began tending to those clients that had come in. I was waiting until 1:12pm. At this point, I was already there since 12:45pm so my patience was running short. The fact that this floral clerk dismissed me and began helping other clients instead of me when she knew knew I had an appointment scheduled at 1pm was beyond rude and unprofessional. For this purpose, I refused to remain waiting and risk being late for where I needed to be.
I wasted my time travelling from North York to come and see this floral shop with a supposed rating on google of 4.7 out of 5 stars which is highly unbelievable to me and beyond far from it. For me to accommodate a business by having myself wait twenty minutes was appalling. A client should not have to accommodate a service, it is suppose to be the service accommodating the client. I have been in client relations for over ten years now and I have never dismissed my clients like the way this clerk dismissed me and never would ignore a person by fiddling around with my phone. I spoke to the owner Rachelle and she did not provide me with anything satisfactory in addressing this whole situation when i told her how this clerk behaved. looks to me like both employees lack an understanding of proper customer service.
in conclusion, dont let the rating mislead you and just avoid this place all together
