Note: this review is solely about Dr. Moody. I've also had work done by Dr. Molina - who is amazing. The experience with front office & assistants were a world apart from him as well...
I'm not sure how these other reviews can be so positive. Saw Dr. Moody for a consult to get wisdom teeth extracted. I have major dental anxiety, which I explained. He spent about 5-10 minutes with me, gave me a Rx for Valium, and had me scheduled to get the extraction done last week with just local anesthetic.
On the day of surgery, my anxiety was so high that I can only assume adrenaline kept the Valium from working, as I was completely coherent. Needless to say, I panicked as he was getting started. He pretty much told me I was going to need to come back and he left the room. I asked the assistant (who was very nice) if I should take extra Valium or wait a little to see if what I'd taken might kick in. She went to ask Dr. Moody, who couldn't even get up to talk to me.
I felt like he didn't want to do the extraction in the first place. I've since gotten a second opinion from a doctor who walked me through everything and what to expect.
There's quite a bit to be said for a chair-side manner, which Dr. Moody was lacking entirely in my visit. One can only assume that he either was having a bad week or that he only wants to do work on Scottsdalians...
