Dr. Burns is my first gynocologist in several years. She is so kind and personable - best bedside manner of any doctor I've EVER visited. My primary reason for visiting was to get on birth control. She asked if I knew what method I wanted to go with, or if I wanted "the spiel." I thought I would just go with the pill, but was open to other options, so I let her talk to me about my options. I actually ended up going with a Nexplanon implant. Dr. Burns was remarkable receptive to my decision to never have kids - usually people say "oh you'll change your mind!", but she was accepting of my choice. That was refreshing and a relief.
My only beef with Dr. Burns and her office was that they failed to communicate test results to me for several months. I also had some tests done in my initial visit, and came back about 2 months later to get my implant, and nobody told me what my test results were (in their defense, I didn't ask). I ended up calling after another month had passed and asked about them. That's finally when they told me the results were negative. That's what I'd figured, but I had really no idea!
