| - As another reviewer put it "avoid" this hotel like the plaque. There are so many things wrong with this hotel, so I'll just make a list:
1) Our toilet randomly decided to break in the middle of the night, we didn't hear anything however when my mother woke up at around 1-2am, the entire bathroom floor was covered in toilet water. The clothing we had on the floor was completely covered in toilet water as well. My mother called the front desk and explained the situation. They said they didn't have any cleaning staff on hand, and we would have to clean it up ourselves using what we had in the room (a few towels and some wet naps for hands) and wait until the morning for a more through cleaning job. Excuse me? We are paying $300+/a night and have to clean up the mess YOUR broken toilet made? We were not offered a new room, we were not offered any cleaning supplies, and they did not offer to clean our now toilet water soaked clothes. When we confronted the manager about this, all he did was take 50% off ONE NIGHT and we were staying for 8 nights! If that alone isn't enough of a reason to make you not book with this hotel, there's more:
2) The first room we were put in was extremely DEPRESSING. It had almost no light, awful bland colours, water damaged ceiling, dirty bathroom, old garbage from the previous guests and the sheets were dirty. It also looked over the top of a building and that was all you could see. We couldn't even see the sun, there was another building very close to our window! We requested to switch rooms right away... was not much better. Still had a water damaged ceiling, garbage from the previous guests and overall filthy and dingy in general but, the view was better.
3) The hotel bar has horrible service, yet no customers. Extremely sad and depressing bar. Hard to get a drink, despite there being no customers. Drinks are over priced and weak.
There are so many things wrong with this hotel, the list could go on forever. Do not be fooled by the nice lobby. The lobby has clearly been redone recently however, the rooms are so outdated and damaged. Looks like they haven't been worked on in at least 30+ years.
AVOID THIS HOTEL, IT IS GARBAGE. There is a Best Western Plus down the road (three blocks down), much cheaper and brand new! We have stayed at it before and it was amazing. Loved it! 10x better than this DUMP. Plus they won't make you clean up THEIR OWN MESS. Just ridiculous, we should have gotten at least 3 free nights, but what did we get? 50% off for cleaning up disgusting toilet water on our hands and knees with wet naps.
HYATT CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU ARE READING THIS, I TELL EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO UNTIL YOU MAKE THIS RIGHT.
IF I COULD DESCRIBE THIS HYATT IN 3 WORDS I WOULD USE: DUMP, GARBAGE AND DISGUSTING!
