Little frustrated. Went in on Monday to see about an oil change, was advised $17.99 and made appointment for Thursday morning. Said it would take about an hour.
Thursday morning I was given a price of roughly $41.99 I believe. It was in the low forties. The price difference was because they said my vehicle required a different oil type, full synthetic. Ok, whatever.
When I pick up the car an hour later, it was $51.xx. Even after my $5 yelp coupon the price was still higher than the forty something I was quoted earlier.
The initial quote didn't include all the fees.
I feel if you're going to give a price, give the out the door total. Don't low ball it to close a sale and then add additional costs when the service is complete.
I think next time I'll run the vehicle across the freeway to the dealer.
