  • After a long Vegas hiatus, we came back and stayed at The Venetian. The main reason was because they offered me a free room because of the Grazie club (Player's Club card). Even though it would be hard to give a bad review to a place that gives you a free room, that didn't matter. Even if I paid $300 a night for one of their rooms, it would still be a bargain! We stayed at the Venezia tower this time around. The trek to our room was fairly long, but I didn't mind (I even had to take 2 elevators). As I mentioned in my original review, all the rooms are "suites." Aside from the beds, they have a sunken living room with more than enough space to move around. In addition to the computer/work table, they have an additional table there if you want to eat dinner in the room. The computer table has a "hidden" outlet that with one press of a button, will reveal different power plugs. As for entertainment, there are 2 TV in the room, in the bedroom and living room (none in the bathroom this time). The TVs are the perfect size for this room, however, the only thing they didn't have are easily-accessible ports for USB and HDMI. In this day-and-age of Amazon Firesticks, Google Chromecast, or even just hooking up a hard drive full of movies, that would be perfect! The room was immaculately clean and offered great amenities. The bathroom was spotless and I do like the fact that it had a bathtub and shower. Also, the shower had multiple nozzles, so you could pick what kind of stream you wanted to wash away the guilt of losing all your money! :) Note: The secret $20 handshake will work here (or Palazzo), but to various results. I've given $20 before and have gotten a 2-room suite over-looking the strip. I've also tried to give $50, but just got a room facing the strip. Just make sure you have the skill of hiding that bill in between the credit card and driver's license. Also, it's fun to watch them pocket that money. It's like magic!!
