So I've used Lyft quite a few times. My experience has been great up until a two months ago. When signing up, it states that you may (AT RANDOM) be charged a $25 hold fee. I call bull on this random crap. Every ride from two months ago (which is about four times), I have been charged the $25 hold fee EVERYTIME! Seriously!?!? Thats random??? I think not. I use Lyft because of the convenience that I can tip my driver through the app which Uber doesn't do, but after being charged the "RANDOM" hold fee everytime, I will no longer be using Lyft, since I do not believe that they charge the hold fee "at random". Sounds like a pretty shady way to do business.
I think Lyft really had better customer service, but being charged for a "random" fee every time doesn't sound random at all and seems like they are targeting certain people. Anyone that is using Lyft, make sure you verify the transaction with your bank. Like I said earlier, I have enjoyed using Lyft, but since recently, every ride has left me with a sour taste in my mouth.
