| - Summary: The Den took our photos as part of the wedding band workshop package, still hasn't sent it to us after 6 months and doesn't reply us. Then conveniently loses all their data and have the audacity to ask customers to make $50-100 'donations' to recover their pictures. Sounds like a scam. We loved the rings we made, but the customer service was terrible and unethical.
The good: The garage is spacious, staff was knowledgeable, somewhat friendly. The overall experience was very unique and we had a lot of fun! The rings we made were beautiful and we loved telling our friends and family we made our own wedding bands.
The bad: Booking the workshop was a headache as communication through phone calls and emails was non-existent. They don't reply for days to weeks. Yes, weeks. Many follow-up emails later, we finally booked our workshop.
The ugly: When we signed up for the workshop, we wanted to go with a cheaper workshop since we just wanted the plain bands. They talked us into doing the wedding band workshop promising it'll be more intimate 1-on-1 teaching, we'll get our pictures taken for free and more time to work on our bands. We decided to do that instead since we wanted pictures to showcase at our wedding, which was 2 months later. We emailed a week and then a month after the workshop and were promised it will be sent to us 'soon'. After the wedding, I've called, emailed and left Facebook messages to ask for our pictures. They never replied me directly but shortly after, I found a post on their FB page asking people for donations to recover their 'lost data'. Their page suggested only those that 'donate' would receive their pictures and asked couples for $50-$100. I'm not sure if this tragedy is close to the truth, regardless, had they sent us our pictures 6 months ago, I would not care.
Bottom-line: Making your own jewelry, especially something as significant as wedding bands, is a really unique experience. However, there are several workshops around the area and I would avoid this place. The staff would pretend to be friendly but don't really care to even remember your name.
