My gal pal and I went to see Joseph and the Amazing....which we got at a Yelper's discount if I might add. And let me just repeat what everyone else had said about parking: come early. We forgot about the P.F. Chang Marathon because many of the runners parked at the garage. This caused major delay and we almost missed the start of the play. So, COME EARLY!
I think the show was awesome as a whole, however sitting on the far end of the balcony makes viewing a bit obscure. Though it was my second time attending an event at this venue, it seemed like the stage got smaller and the sound was not as crisp. The last time I was there was three years ago. Anyway, the Narrator and Joseph sound very nasal. I almost burst out laughing when Joseph belt out his first note but then I quickly realized it was not meant for comic relief! I really thought he was impersonating a sheep at first.
For the snack stations: my friend who doesn't drink soda or alcohol was stuck with only water as her beverage of choice. They should definitely stack up on some juice.
Now, I'm a big fan of Phantom of the Opera which is coming up in May. I've seen it back East on a much grandiose stage. So, I'm skeptical about going to see it at the ASU Gammage.
