| - HIGHLIGHT of my morning! I walked into Rumble sleepy and grouchy at 6 AM and came out an hour later energized and happy.
Boxing studios are definitely not new, but I really like Rumble's concept of boxing to the beat of the music. I'm definitely a novice boxer, and Marco, the instructor, got me set up with wraps and gloves (you have to buy the wraps but it's worth it bc you can reuse). He also gave a demo of different punches and moves.
The room is dark and feels like a club, which is great because it hides your flaws and sweat and makes you feel awesome as you're punching to the beat of Beyoncé. The combos were interesting, worked up a decent sweat, but most importantly, left me feeling healthier and stronger. I'd want to try the Bootcamp style class next time, which sounds like it incorporates more plyometric moves.
Amenities are great, with towels, showers, deodorant, lockers, etc. Everything is so CLEAN! I heard they're opening up in SF, but until then, I'll look forward to my Calgary trips for Rumble!
