I have practiced yoga with Amy Schneider for almost 3 years. She was the one that introduced me to yoga back when I was very skeptical of yoga as a means to get a "workout." Although I have tried other styles and approaches to the practice over the years, I personally find Amy's style and approach to be the one that I enjoy best and personally get the most from (mind, body, flexibility, tranquility, muscle tone and flexibility). I also love Amy's kind and spiritual manner. And I feel, after experiencing others, the most safe under her guidance. I think there are other practitioners around that either don't bear safety in mind or do not have the same knowledge well to ensure the students stay safe. This is important to me not because I consider myself fragile or injury-prone, but because my personality is to "push it" and do whatever the teacher commands (or suggests in Amy's case) so it's important that I practice with someone who has a deep understanding of the postures and a long experience to draw from.
