Stockyards doesn't try to compete with the gastropub and cocktails trend. They are a steak house and have been just that, with little or no renovation, for years. In a really good way, when you step inside you step back in time.
The wine list is not overwhelming and includes some local varieties. The dinner menu is filled with classic steak entrees which have all been cooked perfectly to our liking. There are several salad options and fish options on the dinner menu as well for those who don't eat steak.
What brings me back are the consistency in preparation and the fact that Stockyards is no nonsense and doesn't try to be something it is not.
