| - We have been here three times so far, the first for "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas", and the others for "Rock of Ages"; we liked it so much the first time we brought my Mother-in-Law to see it. I am very impressed with the quality of the stage, props, costumes and cast. Everything is top notch, and there is no lack of talent.
Personally we have never had dinner here however we have had dessert and appetizers. The appetizers have always been tasty, but fair warning the portions are what I would consider small so order accordingly. The Chocolate Mousse was really good, the lemon cookies we had last time were also great; the others we have tried were good but not "great". That said we've never been disappointed. Just so you know, the serve dessert during the intermission and there is no wait service during the show. We ask for a water pitcher for the table. :-)
Honestly though food aside the performances and staff service are great, and it is well worth you time to see a show here. The chairs are not uncomfortable at all, which is a little surprising given you are sitting in restaurant style chairs.
There is really only one thing that keeps me from giving this venue 5 stars. I've seen other reviewers state that there is not a bad seat in the house. I actually disagree with that. All of the two top tables are NOT against a railing, so you end up sitting behind another table at the same level. On our 2nd trip, our view was actually pretty blocked by the 4 people at the table across from us. If you are buying more that two tickets, you get placed a 4 or 6 seat table, so you will be fine, but I feel it is only fair to warn couples of the possibility. In our case, they weren't full so we able to move once the show started to an empty table across from us close to the wall so we could see the stage unencumbered.
All in all, this is a great place and we are thinking about season tickets next year (as long as we won't get stuck at a two top!).
