  • The hubs and I would visit Mona Lisa Italian deli in San Diego's little Italy all the time when I lived across the street. We have not been able to find a sub if it's equal but Romanelli's gets pretty damn close. I'm pretty plain Jane as far as turkey and cheese but the dressing and the bread are key (and they have boars so the cold cuts are top notch) and neither disappointed. Picked up a jar our their own brand of marinara and very excited to try it. Will be back soon!
