Bluephies: Redemption. First off, I was not impressed with my last visit (2-stars). After talking to some friends and hearing about their positive experiences in the past, my wife, son and I decided to go back for a redemption round. So much better this time than last.
We came in for a late Saturday lunch and were promptly greeted and seated. Our waitress touched base with us right away and started on a drink order. After that was filled, we were ready for food. Both of us ordered the Bowling Alley Burger (one with gouda tots and the other with gorgonzola sweet potato tots) and decided to split an order of the bacon-wrapped cheese curds.
The wait for the food was not long at all. Our waitress was spot-on with refills and was great with our little boy. First time we had ever seen a desert menu inside an old View-Master. The boy is still to young to appreciate stuff like that, but we sure did.
Food: Bacon-wrapped cheese curds were delicious. We both thought that the bacon could have been a little more on the crispy side, but didn't need to force ourselves to eat them at all. The burgers were a small bit on the dry side, but the tots were spot on. Following our entree, we decided to get an order of the cookie dough egg rolls to go. We were surprised at how soft the egg rolls were and that the cookie dough was so grainy. We are both fans of super crispy egg rolls though.
Overall this trip was wonderful. The customer service and kindness of the entire staff brought what was a 3-star experience to a 4. We'll be back for sure.
