Our first visit to Spandex Comics was for Free Comic Book Day.
A lot of comic stores had events for this day, but Spandex City seemed, by far, to put in the most effort.
They did NOT disappoint, it was AWESOME!
We had a great time. Not only was it fun for the kids, but I loved that they included activities to give back to The Make A Wish Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Fund.
There were Storm Troopers (who "arrested" people for a donation to the Make a Wish Foundation), Dr. Who with K-9, KITT from Knight Rider (for the Wounded Warrior Fund), a blow up obstacle course for the younger kids, and more!
We were getting ready to leave at just before 3:00pm and people were still showing up. The girls at Town Hall fit them in even though the event was to end at 3:00pm!
A lot of effort went into this event and it showed. We'll be back for sure.
