| - 2 stars is purely for the owner, who is nice. This will make more sense throughout my review.
First time I came here for a shellac manicure, the owner worked on my nails herself, while another member of the senior staff gave me a back rub (nice touch - pun intended). Great. Nails looked fabulous. 30 bucks cash + tip.
The second time, 3 different ladies worked on my nails. The first one did not put on the tin foil tight enough, and left me sitting in a chair for 15 minutes while my shellac manicure was not dissolving. The second one applied the shellac in such a way that my nails were full of little bubbles under the surface. Finally, the owner came to work on my nails, having to redo several from scratch and filing each of them down to more closely resemble a shape (at this point, I wasn't even picky enough to care which). She refused to accept my tip and told me to come in to get it fixed should anything happen. There went an hour and a half of my time, but at least she was classy enough to not allow me to tip for them wasting it.
The rest of my manicures here were less traumatic and time consuming, but would always result in me going home to file down a random nail the lady had missed myself. No biggie.
The fifth time I frequented this establishment, I got a "pedicure". I put this in quotations because I've never had a real pedicure last 10 minutes. It took twice as long for my toes to dry, and when they apparently did, I realized she had literally only painted 70% of my nails. Once again, the owner refused my tip and offered to fix it the next day for free. Turns out I would have to fix my manicures AND pedicures after coming to this place: the nail polish wasn't even dry, even though one of the girls insisted it was and ushered me out. Sigh.
If the owner has doing everyone's nails, this place could have gotten 5 stars easily (for what it is - a hole-in-the-wall nail joint). Unfortunately none of the other ladies are even half as thorough!
