  • I was privileged to be able to attend this theater experience with some people that know how to have a good time. Before attending this show, I already knew it was going to be shocking, but I was still surprised. I work for a company that received some criticism from a proclaimed doctor who saw this show and decided to write some snail mail letting us know how he felt. He said it was extreme and God forbid anyone watch it. Of course, that opinion from a proclaimed PHD recipient made me promise myself to see this show. When arriving to see the tickets, I was able to easily pick up my tickets from will call without hassle or a wait on Wednesday night. I was directed to walk up a flight of stairs. I was in seating group C, which is midway to the back of the venue. When first seated it reminded me of the small cinema experience you would see back before IMAX was a thing. It was tiny and awkward like you traveled to another dimension. Part of me eerily enjoyed this aspect, the other part of me felt it was a bit clammy. The show started with a bang, showcasing their fully live band on a balcony above the stage. The cast danced to an upbeat song pumping me with fear that I was attending a musical. Have no fear though, the mood quickly switched when the main character (owner of the Club Z) set forth information about what was in store. We got to see some surprising sexy zombies showcase true talent, whether it be hula-hoop tricks, singing, or one of the many forms of dancing. Their was some crude humor that was meant for people who don't easily get offended, but overall the cast was very positive. The cast often interacted with crowd and we eve got some free jello shots. Since the show, I have the song " I Eat Boys Like You for Breakfast" by Ida Maria stuck in my head. I was inspired to give zombies a chance and also to let all of my friends know how awesome this show was. The only thing I'd change is the venue, because I do not feel like it gives this cast justice. I started with four stars in mind, but I really think it deserves a 5 after writing my review.
