Gordon Ramsay Steak definitely lives up to its reputation. Amazing service, spectacular environment, and mouthwatering food.
Upon walking through the tunnel, I noticed the large red light fixture (Gordon Ramsay's hand movements) looming over the restaurant. I liked the high ceilings; the restaurant looked very classy. Above the tables, there were strings of light that I liked a lot.
We were given a tablet that had the alcohol menu. I skimmed the pictures and descriptions and settled on the HK antioxidant cocktail. The busser (very accommodating and joked around) constantly refilled our water. He even placed a napkin on the side of the cup that faced me to prevent spillage while pouring. The meat cart presentation was impressive. Our server held the rib cap up to us closely to display the marbling.
The free bread plate had a variety of selections. The busser explained what the different pieces of bread were. I liked the mini cinnamon roll. The HK antioxidant was very good. It definitely was fruity but not in an overbearing manner. I didn't taste the alcohol very much which was a plus. The mint and blueberries were a cute touch.
We ordered the rib cap and Beef Wellington along with the fingerling potatoes. The rib cap was so delicious. When I took a bite of it, the juices were just flowing out. It was also extremely tender. The rib cap had a good crust. The first bite where I ate most of the crust edges tasted a bit salty, but afterward, it was perfect. The fat marbling was visibly prominent. The server gave us a tip on how to cut the Wellington (place the meat face down and cut down through the pastry into the meat). He also made sure the steak was cooked exactly how we wanted it (I was iffy on medium rare and opted for medium while ordering). The Beef Wellington was the MOST tender meat I have ever had. I literally could pull it apart with my fork. I was honestly blown away at its texture. The fingerling potatoes had good seasoning. I liked it as a side with the steaks. We also got the toffee pudding with ice cream dessert. It melts in your mouth, which was very exquisite. I didn't enjoy the dessert as much as others because I generally don't eat toffee/butter ice cream. It was still very good to try.
Two different managers checked in on us on separate occasions, which was nice. The service from the server and busser was really good. I have no complaints about them. I was surprised with the extra side, dessert and cocktail the bill still came out to under $200. This was a wonderful experience. I look forward to coming back and trying the bone-in ribeye!
