| - Absolute great addition to the Food Court, which we'll be visiting again real soon!
When UR in Philly, the selling point for Geno's, Pat's or who ever, is the quality of the meat they use. In the 80's etc, along came those quick Mall places that sold process meat cubes. You remember them; so I won't name, names.
Here at Charley's, you can actually see the marbling, which is what gives their sandwiches their flavor. The fat melts and the flavor is left in the meat.
Yesterday I ordered their 9" Sub, Hero or Hoagy (depending where UR from) for $7.79. I added extra meat for $1.80 and a small drink for about $10 in change. It was really very good and close to the real Philly experience and food coma time for me.
Charley's Philadelphia Subs is a Four and 1/2 Star experience. My only question to myself is, why didn't I give them Five Stars? Why indeed! But
As I said in my Tip: 'I came here at 11:30 and there was only three customers in front of me. Now, twenty minutes later they're packed! You could hear crickets at Five Guys and Subways next door.'
Woo-Hoo this is pretty close for me and Yes, I am a Fan.
Enjoy!
