| - My review is based solely on the Mod Club being a concert venue.
I've seen numerous bands play at the Mod Club, and have always had a positive experience. The acoustics at the venue are great, feedback is rarely heard and the bass is kept to a minimal level. Therefore, even if you forget earplugs, your ears will not be ringing for hours after the concert.
The venue is small, compact and has air conditioning (unlike other venues in Toronto, they actually turn up the air conditioning before a concert; therefore creating a cool environment).
The stage is quite high off the ground, therefore enabling even the shortest individual to see from far away with ease. And, there are also seats beside the dance floor allowing people to take a break, and watch the concert without having to stand or push to the front of the stage.
Overall, the venue is awesome. Whenever I see that one of my favourite bands is coming to Toronto and playing the Mod Club, I rush out to buy tickets.
