Stayed here on two occasions and both times was for attending a Cleveland State basketball game. However, we came down from Detroit area to support the visiting team! The hotel is about a 5 minute car ride to the stadium.
This hotel is in a nice spot within the city and right across the street from the Cavs basketball arena. Parking has changed for the hotel and I am glad it did! Before you had to take your car down an alley ramp below the hotel and it was pretty janky and dirty. Now a valet person will do this for you and it is much better/easier! Sure, it costs to park each day at the hotel but what city does not charge this?
The hotel is connected within the indoor shopping center which is nice for walking around indoors. We have always gone in the winter, so this is a good place to go walking to get some warmth. Good walk-ability to the city as well to restaurants/casino/bars in the area.
The décor is modern but also has some older details of the building's past. Staff is friendly and we have never had any problems checking-in or out. Rooms are spacious and clean. Each time we have stayed there was a kitchen in the room as well. Breakfast is free but it is okay. The dining room is beautiful but the breakfast is a typical continental free breakfast at any hotel. We will continue to come here each time we are in town! My only suggestion would to keep a coffee or water station with fruit infused around for guest throughout the day.
