Yes! The best preparation for a chicken fried steak I have had in Phoenix so far. With that said the gravy was lacking in flavor. Whether this was intentional or not, I had to put a lot of salt and pepper on it to taste the gravy.
The atmosphere is what you would expect from a diner. Trucker hats and outdated memorabilia galore. The best part of the experience was the owner/chef coming out to converse with everyone in the restaurant to see how the food was. Props for that! The staff was also very friendly and attentive.
Plan in gaining a pound or two when eating here. I give this 4 stars for the great home style cooking you would expect from a noted local restaurant. Minus one star for possibly having a little too high of expectations of the food.
