Everything about this hotel portion screams horror movie, or sinking ship. Front desk was a little rude when trying to extend a night, so instead we wound up booking GN again (happy w that decision)
The elevators take a year and seem to only have one working at any given time. You'll be going up a floor and it will randomly go all the way back down before reaching your floor. The hallways feel like something from a horror movie, that should've been my first clue.
When you get in the room, its small. VERY small. I was relieved to find there were no bugs of any kind, but think maybe I just got lucky. There were stains on the peeling wallpaper above the bed that kind of looked like blood spatter (NOT JOKING) and the bathroom is just all around awkward. Bed was comfortable though.
Had to open the window, because the AC was just.. worthless, and the front door of our room shook like crazy, even though it wasn't that windy out at all on New years eve/day before- I woke up to find my boyfriend even barricaded the door.
I would never book this again. I should've just booked the Carson tower at the Golden Nugget to begin with I highly recommend everyone run as far as you can from this one its all around just... awful.
It really is a shame my favorite valley restaurant is in this casino. EVERYONE should eat at Hugos given the chance and Magnolias is actually really good too. This, is the only reason I even gave it two stars. Everyone who works in those places (as well as some of the cocktail waitresses) are just amazing...and I'm sure don't get enough Kudos.
