Tried two flavours: Toast & Butter and Lemon (both are yeast doughnuts). Not worth the price. Save your calories for something else a bit better.
Pros:
- Interesting flavours.
- Cool interior.
- Staff are friendly and cheerful.
Cons:
- Doughnuts are too big. The glaze to dough ratio is completely skewed to the latter.
- Taste/texture: Because of the size of the doughnuts, both of these key factors are really lacking. The lemon glaze didn't really pack any sort of lemony punch and the Toast & Butter, as creative as it is, was just sort of mediocre. The doughnuts were just really doughy and somewhat tough, texture-wise.
- Distance: Parkdale is a bit of a trek for City Centre or East Enders.
- Price: ~$7 for two doughnuts. Felt like the size of the doughnuts are made to compensate for the price.
Overall: If I was in the neighbourhood, maybe I'd split one with a friend. Maybe.
