| - My 84 year old Mother was at Sage Creek fr 11 days and the experience was unacceptable when it came to many of the nurses and the kitchen. My mother was there for swallowing issues,CHF, is a diabetic an salt restricted. The staff was clueless and heartless. I do not believe that the nursing staff ever read her chart. She did have one good nurse, Raul. Even though she and I filled out menu requests, they were wrong 95% of the time. I wish I had taken a photo of the tuna floating in milk! I am sure my Mother wasn't super nice, but after days of frustration, I would have walked out! She was told to not get up without assistance. She was a fall risk. She would press her call light and wait over 45 minutes for a response. When she told me she would get up, walk around her bed and go to the bathroom unassisted, I cringed! These examples re just the tip of the iceberg. I spoke to Tab, the director who did try to correct things, but to no avail. He literally went to the kitchen with specific instructions and they still got it wrong. If they had taken two minutes to listen to her about her inability to swallow, they may have figured out that what she could eat was limited.Instead they treated her like she was senile. Upon leaving I spoke to Clint who was unaware that she was discharged. I told him how terrible things were, and he just shrugged and walked away... Then I had to asked for meds to go home with and the nurse laughed nervously the entire time she was checking me out.She was clueless. When I got into the car, my mother said that they did not give her lasix. I can't say enough bout how terrible her experience was. The therapists and Doctors were great, the rest of the staff, except for the women at the front desk should get some serious training. These examples only scratch the surface as to the experience. My recommendation, STAY AWAY!!
