| - Thank you to the Doctors and Staff of Durango Animal Hospital for over ten years of excellent medical care for my dog, Suki. In January, Suki and I made our last visit together to the hospital. As was always the case, the Doctors and Staff made us welcome, treated us with kindness and respect, and offered every medical option possible to make Suki comfortable. Suki lived her life with a variety of medical issues, and the team at Durango Animal Hospital was always creative about ways keep her healthy and to enhance her quality of life. They were thoughtful and kind down to the note they sent, with all their thoughts and signatures, after I made the journey home with an empty leash. I continually found their medical skills to be top notch.
The facility is always tidy and clean. The staff is punctual in greeting and attending when I visit. When boarding Suki, she always came home in wonderful shape (when I would call in from a trip, the Staff members would willing check on her and let me know how she was doing). Dr. McDermott took extra interest in preserving Suki's quality of life, and when the time came, Dr. Gammill, explained all options, and when there were none left, she sat with us. I know she had a heavy surgery work load that day, but she never made me feel rushed. In addition, Mary Carol asked to sit with us. What a blessing. She was kind and considerate, and I could not imagine going through it without her.
Recently, I was lucky enough to be introduced to a new traveling companion, Halley's Comet. Dr. Fleming took charge of her when we stopped by for a first medical visit and subsequent needs. She is thorough, kind and easy to talk to. I look forward to many more years with this wonderful medical staff and the members of the team of Durango Animal Hospital. Thank you all.
