We joined another family to spend an extended weekend at Lake Mead and Lake Mohave. The Hacienda is an ideal location for water activities. The parking lot isn't too bad for trailers with boats or PWCs. The parking lot does get a little crowded towards the end of the day.
The staff seems to have a hard time putting down their ciggies to serve customers. I also experienced that at the snack bar. The front desk was ok. Could be a little quicker with the check-ins.
The cafe food and service was pretty decent.
The gift shop was pretty decent except for the grumpy cashier. She had difficulty scanning an item and blamed it on "people always touching everything"...WHAT!!! I didn't see any signs NOT to touch anything. It was a whistle we were buying for cryin' out loud.
Well...overall, the Hacienda. It's actually kind of comical to watch the floor staff do their thing. I'm sure most of them mean well and are just fine, but some of them are a just plain miserable. It's their choice to be miserable. I gotta remember that, but I hate to think that I'm paying for that kind of treatment.
We'll probably stay there again...it's so convenient to the lake. Dang it.
