I'm planning on selling my house that is located two blocks away from this Lowes location so I figured it would be the best place to purchase the three toilets I need to be able to get my home in good enough shape to list in the MLS. I'm not a very handy person so I don't know much about these types of purchases.
I was very disappointed from the level of customer service I received at Lowes. I had to hunt down an employee that told me to go back to the toilet aisle and wait for someone to help me there. This is 7pm at night on a Saturday and the store didn't look that busy but I didn't mind waiting for someone who specializes in toilets. The employee I get turns out to be a door specialist and call his manager to get more information. I wanted to purchase three toilets and was wondering what delivery and install would cost. The signage says $99 per unit including haul away but the managers says it's only an extra $34 for delivery and $17 per toilet to haul away on top of the $99 install fee. The way this was communicated was very confusing. Although I wanted to go ahead and purchase the toilets right away, I decided I would go to Home Depot a few blocks away to see if I could get a specialist who would be more clear about cost. Even if Lowes turns out to be cheaper, I will go with another company simply because of the impression I got from this encounter.
