Just got back to San Francisco from Plaza Motors with my 2014 Mustang GT. Working with the sales manager, Justice, was a delight both on the phone and in person.
My 11 year old son and I flew down to do the last minute inspection and the car was even better than we expected. Justice made the paperwork incredibly easy and when he heard we were driving to Las Vegas and hadn't made a reservation yet, he quickly booked us a great room from his computer.
The road trip back through Las Vegas to Ely, Nevada along Highway 50 (the Loneliest Highway in America) to Reno and through the Sierras back home was breathtaking and one my son and I will never forget. We hit 135mph briefly way out in the desert.
I initially checked out the Plaza Motors website because it was highly recommended by a friend who'd bought two cars from them over the years. His comments on their honesty, knowledge and service were born out by my own experience.
My father was a car dealer for over 65 years specializing in "late model" used cars. He thought people were crazy to buy a new car that depreciated 15-20% "as soon as you drove it off the showroom floor". That's why he sold cars that were 1-3 years old with low mileage.
My Dad died last year, at 89, still selling cars to his friends and former customers. I'm sure he was smiling when he saw the deal I got on a 2014 Mustang GT with just 3,800 miles on it and lots of extras... and still had almost 3 years left on the warranty.
Do yourself a favor and listen to my dad.
