  • So we were walking down the road to Country Boys for dinner and I happened to notice this place and remember that I read about this place on yelp and wanted to try it. So we decided to stop here instead. This is a nice little place just off of 19th and Camelback, headed towards the 17. There is a lot of different things on the menu, and it took me a while to choose (like usual) but I did know I wanted an horchata. And it was great. Sometimes the horchata is really watery or the flavor was off, but this was perfect. I ended up getting a chile relleno because of the suggestion they made, as well as the combination plate of a chicken taco, a tostada, and a enchilada served with rice and beans on the side. My dinner companion got the 3 quesadilla plate that included rice and beans as well. The chile relleno was wow... I have never had it before so I can't compare it, but I can definitely tell why this a favorite. That alone is pretty filling. The tostada was nice kinda crunchy but not overly so, piled with lettuce and tomato on top of beans. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. The chicken taco was filled with shredded chicken that was very flavorful, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. It was pretty good, and the enchilada was even better. Yummy cheese inside of a tortilla topped with yummy sauce. The beans were whatever..... average refried beans, and the rice was pretty good. The quesadillas were slightly crunchy filled with yummy mozzarella cheese. The awesome thing about this place, besides just the food, is the awesome customer service.... they're awesome always checking up on us, and they are a family owned business, for over 30 years, and the mother who started the restaurant still comes in every morning to check up and make sure everything is fresh and being made right. The lovely eating companion says it tastes like authentic Mexican food, and I just know that it tastes great. For all the food and drinks it was just under $30. Definitely check it out.
