  • In previous years, it wasn't a Vegas trip unless you went to 1 or 2 buffets. However, times have changed. The days of going to your Circus Circus, or Stardust buffet, are over. The abundance of not only good, but superb restaurants, is overwhelming. The last few years, I strayed away from buffets and started going to these restaurants. However, buffets are making a strong come back. With your Wynn, Bellagio, Wicked Spoon, and of course, Bacchanal leading the charge. We came on Christmas weekend. This meant there was a special holiday brunch/dinner menu. Holiday pricing was $59.99 for brunch and $69.99 for dinner. We came at brunch. First, seating can be a little confusing if you're going with a group of 6 or more. There is basically another line closer to the buffet room behind the regular cashier. When you get there, you wait in a shorter line. But, you don't pay there. Basically, someone gets out of the line to go the cashier, and then goes back to wait again. The wait, thankfully, wasn't too long. I would have to say about 15 minutes total. Not bad considering I've heard of wait times of 1-2 hours. Now, for the food. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but there was way too much food! The selection is enormous and the plating was gorgeous. You have your seafood station with different crab legs and cocktail shrimp to name a few. There were also Mexican, Italian, and Chinese stations. Not to mention salad, juice, and bread stations. Some of the unique items were veal osso bucco, gnocchi, truffled potatoes, Chilaquiles, pork belly, and many different fruit juices. Since this was brunch, of course they had your omelet station, but I stayed away from that because I could get that at other places. I also stayed away from the Chinese station, because I knew I couldn't try everything and I wanted to get the more unique dishes. What stood out for me was the veal, the different salads, and churros and cronuts. Now, those churros and cronuts weren't even in the dessert section. The dessert section is a whole other story. And a similar story. The selection is quite extensive, but not only that, the desserts were absolutely scrumptious! Aside from the food, the service was phenomenal! Jeff was the best by not only refilling our drinks, but he entertained the kids, just by being a great guy! Because of the price, and my infrequent visits to Vegas now, I don't know if I'll be back any time soon. Not to mention, I want to give the Wynn buffet another chance since they changed their menu up. But, with than being said, I can't wait to cross Wynn off my list, so I can come back here again!
