While still on the phone with my insurance company a representative (didn't catch her name) called me to let me know I needed to come in the next day & sign paper work so they could start working on my car once they receive it. I was immediately impressed with this! Also the girl @ the front desk when I went the next day was very nice. (Didn't catch her name as she didn't introduce herself) I filled out the paperwork, told her my insurance company told me my car was gonna be towed the night before (Friday) which it hadn't been & I was going to call them later that day. She told me if it wasn't towed by Monday to call them & they would follow through with it.
So, so far so good.
Two things I found that I'm not impressed with up to that point are #1 their hours. They close @ 1pm on a Saturday. Not the best hours for someone who works nights & isn't an early morning person. (I know, I know....it's not all about me..lol)
#2 Their parking lot! The set up is horrible!! Located across from their front door are only two parking spots & they are for handicap people (but this didn't stop some guy who I saw pull into one with no handicap plates or visual cards in his car. Then one side of the building is for the workers & tow trucks & the other side is a parking lot that was full of cars. Not sure if they were cars that had been worked on & waiting for pick up or what? I doubt they have that many workers that work there? The lot was full. It was confusing at first.
So we're on day 5 of the body shop having my car & I haven't heard boo from this place so I have no idea what is going on.
I find the business card of the person dealing with my claim & call the main # listed on here & someone actually answers but they have me on speaker phone & it's hard to understand them. I don't think that's very professional since there's a waiting room close by to the front desk. They transfer me to a girl named Falon. She's hard to understand too as if she's on a cell phone & she's cutting in & out. I do mention this to her. (I was using my home phone, yes I have a home phone...shush...lol)
I hadn't even told her who I was & she knew who i was. I'm guessing caller ID? I tell her why I'm calling & she blabs out an old house phone number for me, like 3 yrs old asking me if that was my number & I said no. She says "oh, no wonder why we couldn't get a hold of you." Im like "whhe did you get that from? The BMW dealership?? (My car is a BMW & they deal with this auto body shop) Falon had said yes. So then I'm like "I filled out paper work this past Saturday & put my current home & cell phone numbers on there." "Why am I putting phone numbers on there if you guys aren't even looking on there for them?" No answer to this question. I was also surprised since they were trying to get a hold of me using the old number then why the heck didn't they go look @ the form I filled out to see what phone number was on there..?? Hum...I wasn't impressed about this @ all.
Also when I was inquiring on the damages she had told me but parts of it I couldn't hear due to her being in a cell phone so I asked her again & she says "well unless you know about a car you may not know what is behind a tire" oh really?? So now your assuming I don't know anything about cars when you don't know anything about me...?? I felt that comment wasn't necessary. Maybe she didn't mean to be insulting by it, but that's what it sounded like...?
So I finally got my car back. I went in on a Friday night about 30mintes before they closed & it was busy. I stood here for about 2-3 minutes before Valerie recognized me & greeted me by my last name. She gave me the option to make the payment & sign the paper work or see my car. I did the paperwork first, paid cash (they were excited to see some) & was met by a manager with my car outside. Christian was the manager who helped me out. He was able to answer all my questions. My brand new tire & rim looked fine & my car was even washed. Only annoying thing was my seat was all messed up from being moved. I'm sure someone had to drive it afterwards to make sure it drove fine. I just need to learn how to set my seat settings then it will be a lot easier to put my seat back in place. lol
It sure makes a difference who you deal with in a business. Some people are more professional & nicer then others. This place isn't so bad, I'd bring my car back here if it needed anymore body work in the future. Thank you!
