  • Man... I think this is the one place anywhere in the city so far where I can get good clean professional chocolate, and not just any chocolate either. Their chocolate has the exact right balance of sugar, butter, and chocolate in the taste and texture. And to me, in Canada, if not North America, I think it's perfect. Why do I say that? Because I have always been dissatisfied with chocolate in NA, even some imports that may or may not be made in Switzerland or Austria have different tastes than in Europe. I grew up in Europe/the middle east and their chocolate is wonderful over there. And so is sweet Olenka's. But that's not it. They don't just make chocolate, thank you goodbye. They put lots of care in the looks and presentation of their cakes, ice creams, cookies, with that artisanal quality that I so seriously appreciate. They don't just serve ice cream in a cone, they make it look enticing, and fantastic-as in, a fantasy-like looking treat. I am saying this because in the countries I grew up in I always found great handmade cakes or chocolates with attention to detail, creative shapes, colors, refined both in tastes and looks, and this is what this place offers. An attention, care, and passion for chocolate and sweets, and they know the proper recipes. I never fail to go there when I am in the neighborhood, because I owe it to my childhood to get good chocolate in my adulthood.
