  • Stay far far away. I don't see how anyone could possibly, in good conscience, recommend this place. Don't ignore the bad reviews like I did. I selected this hotel because of its location and I remembered it had a beautiful atrium. Unfortunately, the other things that matter to a guest don't matter at all to the hotel's management. The location: not two minutes after pulling into the parking circle, my wife and kids were confronted with a car full of panhandlers after I left to check in. I walked out to see my young son handing money to a car full of strangers. We never saw a single employee out front to discourage harassment of guests. I walked into the room to discover my "pool view" was a large dirt hole I could spit in from our balcony. I called the front desk to see when the construction crews showed up to work and cause noise in the morning. But I couldn't because the telephone didn't work. So I used my cellular. After learning construction would commence way too early, I was told to pay more to be relocated. Apparently I paid less to be bothered in the morning. OK, fair enough but, I have seen a total of six other guests here and two were here to look at the koi pond. The carpets belong in a crack house. My wife actually checked for bed bugs which we've never done at a Hilton property or any hotel, before. We have small children (who strangers ask for money not ten feet from the front entrance) and she was concerned for their health. So that gives you an idea of how run down this place is. The manager was some guy in glasses dressed in blue jeans and a flannel shirt who told me his general manager told me to pound sand if I wanted reasonable accommodation. I am a Hilton Honors member but felt like a Marriott one. Went to my mother's viewing/wake and returned to find there is no heat in the hotel. The bedroom is next to the dirt hole and the cold, dry, desert winter easily gets through the single pane sliding glass door. Right now, my wife is shouting at me that the toilet doesn't work. Great, just great.
