My husband is a sushi snob and has eaten at some of the best sushi restaurants on the states. So, he has a rather discerning palate when it comes to sashimi.
We found Hiro on Yelp and met up with some friends there for a night out. Immediately we knew we were on the doorsteps of sushi heaven (well, the sushi heaven in AZ) because of all the Japanese celebrity photos on the wall. If Japanese celebrities are eating here, it must be good.
It is was. We ordered a variety of items from the menu including sashimi, rolls, and even a cooked dish. Eat one provided a fabulous experience and left not a single crumb on a dish.
The atmosphere is unsophisticated and quaint, which I enjoy. It's sushi, man. Keep it real. Don't blast your trendy music and distract us with large fish tanks and clean lines.
The service was on par, the chefs top notch and we will definitely go back time and again.
